JOHOR BAHARU, Aug 15 (Bernama) -- LM Star Autoworld Sdn Bhd (LMG), the country's latest car manufacturer, plans to roll out 18,000 units of its revolutionary car that uses water and fossil fuel.

Dubbed as a revolutionary fuel car, the vehicle uses a technology known as Hydroxene that utilised water and fossil fuels such as diesel and petrol to power it.

The technology was developed by Malaysian scientist Dr Halim Ali and the two models that was launched today come with a 2.4-litre engines with the prices at RM58,888 for the Tourer and RM84,888 for the Trekker.

Uzza said the company planned to launch seven more models of the Tourer and Trekker vehicles this year and next year.

The launches next year will include models such as a 1.1-litre compact and 1.8-litre multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) to be priced below RM100,000.

Uzza said the company also planned to invest RM378 million in its new car manufacturing plant to be built in Johor within three years.

Two pieces of land, each measuring 225 acres, have been identified at Batu 27 Kulai and Bandar Penawar, Kota Tinggi, he said.

He added that the two sites for the plant were waiting for approval by the Johor government.
