Survivors Of Massacres Still Struggling With Nightmare

Although
the
Battle
of
Muar
and
the
Parit
Sulong
Massacre
happened
65
years
ago
during
the
Second
World
War,
many
of
the
survivors
are
still
struggling
to
forget
the
tragic
incidents
which
had
cost
many
lives
among
the
Australian
and
Indian
soldiers.
One
of
the
survivors,
Private
Charles
Arthur
Edwards,
89,
who
served
with
the
2/19
Battalion
of
the
Australian
Imperial
Force
(AIF),
said
he
still
struggled
with
nightmares
every
night.

My
wife
said
I
sleep
beautifully
and
soundly
but

my
mind
